She originally wrote the Handbook as a classified textbook for the Defense Intelligence College. It is now intended to arrange for open publication of the Handbook through the Assoication of Former Intelligence Officers. 3. In February, DIA submitted Chapters 21 and 27 for CIA review. Read in isolation, those chapters seemed relatively innocuous. There is no question of any government attempt at coverup of information, and the subject of -s narrow and esoteric and probably of limited public interest. 25X1 6. We reviewed ith the idea that general discussions of the 25X1 theory and technique indications and may be 25X1 unclassified, otherwise we would recommend the entire work be withheld. We do believe that most of the illustrative material must be deleted because of the author's position which gives her words authority. We are recommending that the portions bracketed in red, and which represents the most harmful material as described in paragraph 4 above, be denied. 7. We request your review as soon as possible in order that we may return this material to DIA.. Please return the draft pages to CRD, along with your comments, when your review is completed.
