Lindsey Leavitt is an American author known for her young adult and middle grade novels, including popular series.
Lindsey Leavitt, born in Las Vegas, Nevada, on August 17, 1980, is an American author specializing in young adult and middle grade fiction. She is the second of five children and graduated from Bonanza High School. Leavitt pursued elementary education studies at Brigham Young University. She transitioned from teaching to substitute teaching after the birth of her first child. During her pregnancy, she began writing what would become her novel "Sean Griswold's Head," followed by the "Princess for Hire" series.
Leavitt's published works include three young adult novels, five middle grade novels (two co-authored with Robin Mellom), and five early chapter books illustrated by A. G. Ford. Her books have received critical acclaim and numerous awards, such as YALSA Best Fiction for Young Adults, YALSA Popular Paperbacks for Young Adults, an Amazon Best Book of the Year, Kids’ Indies Next List, and Banks Street Best Children’s Books of the Year. Currently, Leavitt is a full-time author residing in Utah with her blended family.
