Stephen Skinner, born in Sydney in 1948, is an Australian writer, editor, publisher, and lecturer recognized for his prolific contributions to the fields of magic, feng shui, sacred geometry, and alchemy. He has authored and published over 46 books, translated into more than 20 languages. After completing his BA in English Literature, Geography, and Philosophy at Sydney University, Skinner engaged in early publishing ventures with underground magazines before pursuing a career in finance and teaching. His academic journey culminated in a PhD in classics from the University of Newcastle in 2014, focusing on the transmission of magical techniques from ancient Egypt through the Byzantine era to Western grimoires.
In 1972, Skinner relocated to London, where he founded Askin Publishers Ltd, specializing in esoteric texts. He played a role in the production of the Crowley Thoth Tarot and later launched "Feng Shui for Modern Living" magazine, earning a Publisher of the Year nomination.
