Jung Young Lee

Jung So-min, born Kim Yoon-ji on March 16, 1989, is a prominent South Korean actress who launched her acting career in 2010. She made her debut with a supporting role in the drama "Bad Guy" and quickly secured her first leading role in the romantic comedy "Playful Kiss" later that same year. Despite "Playful Kiss" not achieving high ratings domestically, it gained international popularity, boosting Jung's profile. She took a brief hiatus in 2011 to focus on her studies at the Korea National University of Arts before returning to television.

Throughout her career, Jung has demonstrated versatility, taking on a wide range of characters in various genres, including romantic comedies, historical dramas, horror, and medical series. She has starred in numerous successful television dramas such as "Because This Is My First Life" (2017), "Alchemy of Souls" (2022), and "Love Next Door" (2024), as well as films like "Love Reset" (2023). Jung So-min initiated her acting journey in 2010, first appearing in a supporting capacity in the television series "Bad Guy." This initial role paved the way for her first leading part in the romantic comedy "Playful Kiss," a Korean adaptation of a well-known manga. She made a memorable cameo in "My Roommate Is a Gumiho" (2021) and starred opposite Kim Ji-seok in the romance drama "Monthly Magazine Home." A notable role was in the 2022 tvN fantasy drama "Alchemy of Souls," where she played a skilled assassin whose soul is transferred. She later appeared in the sci-fi film "Project Wolf Hunting" and the romantic comedy "Love Reset" (2023), playing a film producer dealing with amnesia. Her 2024 project, "Love Next Door," a romantic comedy drama, achieved significant ratings. Jung has also navigated several management transitions, signing with various agencies including Jellyfish Entertainment, Blossom Entertainment, TH Company, Ieum Hashtag, and Hiin Entertainment, underscoring her active and evolving career.
