Stuart Douglas, born in October 1969, hails from Edinburgh and is a prominent figure in speculative fiction publishing. He is the founder of Obverse Books, an independent press specializing in science fiction, fantasy, and weird fiction. Douglas also serves as the range editor for the Black Archive and Silver Archive series, which offer in-depth analyses of genre television. His writing career includes numerous Sherlock Holmes stories, encompassing four novels published by Titan Publishing Group, which expand upon Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's iconic detective. Additionally, in 2024, Titan began publishing his cozy mystery series, the Lowe and Le Breton Mysteries. Douglas was also the features editor for the British Fantasy Society Journal between 2012 and 2017. In 2022, he established Obverse Music with Scott Liddell.
