Lawhead gained particular acclaim for his "Pendragon Cycle," a reinterpretation of Arthurian legend set in a Celtic context and incorporating elements of Atlantis. This series, researched extensively during a period of residence in Oxford, England, drew heavily on original Celtic source material.
