Raimon Panikkar

Jacobo Fitz-James Stuart y Martínez de Irujo, known as Jacobo Siruela, was born into a prominent Spanish aristocratic family in 1954. After studying Philosophy and Literature, he embarked on a career in publishing. In 1980, he began his editorial work, which quickly gained recognition. He founded Ediciones Siruela in 1982, establishing it as a significant publisher of Arthurian literature, fantastic fiction, and cultural essays. He also launched the interdisciplinary magazine 'El Paseante'.

In 2005, Siruela co-founded Ediciones Atalanta with his wife, Inka Martí. This publishing house focuses on a diverse range of collections, including Ars Brevis, Memoria Mundi, Imaginatio Vera, and Liber Naturae, featuring authors and texts spanning classical literature, esoteric philosophy, Eastern traditions, and contemporary thought. Siruela himself has also authored essays and edited anthologies, particularly in the realms of fantastic literature and esoteric themes. His work has been recognized with several publishing awards.
