Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan

Born in 1971, Zia Inayat Khan is a contemporary scholar and teacher within the Sufi lineage of his grandfather, Hazrat Inayat Khan. He holds a Ph.D. in Religion from Duke University and a B.A. in Persian Literature from SOAS. Designated as his father Vilayat Inayat Khan's spiritual successor, Zia now leads the Inayatiyya organization, which has a global presence. He also founded Suluk Academy, an institution dedicated to contemplative studies with branches in both the United States and Europe.
