Martin Ebon

Martin Ebon, born Hans Martin Schwarz in Germany in 1917, was an American journalist and author known for his writings on both political and paranormal topics. After emigrating to the United States in 1938 and adopting the name Martin Ebon, he served in U.S. government information roles during World War II. His early career included significant anti-communist writing, such as his 1948 book "World Communism Today." He later held various roles in publishing and public relations, including positions at the Parapsychology Foundation and Playboy Press. Ebon also lectured and consulted in social sciences and on paranormal research. He passed away in 2006.

He held positions in news agencies, public relations firms like Hill & Knowlton, and served as president of Lombard Associates. His editorial experience includes work as a consulting editor for New American Library and as executive editor for Playboy Press. He also contributed as a lecturer in social sciences at The New School. This diverse background provided him with a wide platform from which to publish his numerous books and articles on subjects ranging from international politics to the mysteries of the human mind and the supernatural.
