John Warren White

Richard Duane Warren, widely known as Rick Warren, is an American evangelical pastor and author who founded Saddleback Church in Orange County, California. Beginning as a small Bible study group in 1980, Saddleback grew into a megachurch averaging nearly 20,000 attendees weekly. Warren developed the "Purpose Driven" philosophy of ministry, which emphasizes church growth through five key purposes: worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and evangelism. This philosophy was further elaborated in his highly successful books, "The Purpose Driven Church" (1995) and "The Purpose Driven Life" (2004), the latter selling over 30 million copies worldwide.

Beyond his pastoral work, Warren has been involved in global humanitarian efforts, co-founding the P.E.A.C.E. Plan, an initiative for churches focused on humanitarian development.
