John Leland

John Leland, born in 1959, is an American writer and journalist who has been a reporter for The New York Times since the year 2000. His journalistic career includes covering topics such as retirement and religion, beginning in January 2004. Before his tenure at The New York Times, Leland held editorial positions at various publications. He served as editor-in-chief for Details magazine in 1994 and also worked as a senior editor at Newsweek.
