In November 2003, he received a combined sentence of 101 months in prison, a $7,500 fine, restitution of $6,488, and a $200 assessment. The conviction was upheld by the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Springmeier was incarcerated and subsequently released from federal prison on March 25, 2011.
