Gitty Daneshvari

Emma Walton Hamilton is a British-American author, theatrical director, and actress. Born in London, she spent her childhood between England and the United States. Her parents are actress Julie Andrews and designer Tony Walton.

Hamilton has had a multifaceted career, beginning with acting roles in film and television. She co-founded the Bay Street Theater in New York, where she served as artistic co-director and director of education for many years. She has also lent her voice to numerous audiobooks. A significant part of her work involves writing children's books, often in collaboration with her mother, Julie Andrews. Their joint works include the "Dumpy" series, "The Great American Mousical," "Bonnie Boadicea" novels, and "The Very Fairy Princess" series, among others. Hamilton also authored a book for adults titled "Raising Bookworms." She has received awards for her audiobook narration and writing, including a Grammy Award.

Beyond her writing and directing, Hamilton is involved in academia. She instructs in the MFA program at Stony Brook Southampton, where she directs the Southampton Children's Literature Fellows program and the Young Artists and Writers Project (YAWP). She also co-created the preschool television series "Julie's Greenroom" with her mother.
