Gerald Gardner, who passed away in 2020 at the age of 91, was an American writer active primarily from the 1960s through the 1980s. He contributed to a variety of media, working as a scriptwriter, screenwriter, comics writer, story editor, and producer. Throughout his career, Gardner often collaborated with his longtime partner, Dee Caruso.
His television writing credits include a significant number of episodes for popular shows such as "The Monkees" and "Get Smart." The "Get Smart" episodes he penned, often with Caruso, were recognized with Primetime Emmy Award nominations. Gardner also served as a senior writer for the topical satire series "That Was The Week That Was" (TW3).
