He began crafting short horror stories, which found publication in anthologies such as 'Red Stains' and 'The Starry Wisdom: A Tribute to HP Lovecraft.' His 1998 collection of science fiction stories, 'Metal Sushi,' garnered positive reviews, with author Grant Morrison noting Conway's distinctive voice in horror fiction. Conway has also lent his writing talents to comic books, contributing to titles for Marvel Comics, Harris Comics, and Anarchy Studio.
