Jane Lahr is an American author, editor, and literary agent with a career in publishing and a focus on art and literature.

Jane Lahr, born September 2, 1943, is an American author, editor, and literary agent. Daughter of actor Bert Lahr and sister to critic John Lahr, she pursued art studies in London before entering the publishing world.

Her career began at Harry N. Abrams, Inc., where she innovated in Special Sales and led advertising, publicity, and promotion. She later co-founded Stewart, Tabori & Chang, playing a key role in the packaging and marketing of "Grandmother Remembers" and co-editing "Love: a Celebration in Art & Literature." Lahr has packaged several books and edited "The Celtic Quest." Her 2007 book, "Searching for Mary Magdalene: A Journey in Art & Literature," received an Independent Publisher Book Award. She also co-edited "Speaking from the Heart: Ethics, Reincarnation & What it Means to Be Human." Lahr is a partner in the book packaging and agenting firm Lahr & Partners, LLC.

She has been married twice and has a daughter, Maya Gottfried, who is also a writer. Lahr serves on the Board of Directors for The School of Images, founded by Dr. Catherine Shainberg, and the Abby Whiteside Foundation.
