Richard Grossinger, born Richard Towers in 1944, is an American writer and publisher who established North Atlantic Books in 1974. He holds degrees in English from Amherst College and anthropology from the University of Michigan. Grossinger's academic career includes teaching anthropology at the University of Maine and interdisciplinary studies at Goddard College, where his courses covered subjects such as alchemy, Jungian psychology, and ethnoastronomy.
