He earned a degree in psychology from Seton Hall University and worked as a clinical psychologist before developing his stage act.

Kreskin's television career included his own shows, "The Amazing World of Kreskin" and "The New Kreskin Show," which aired in Canada and the United States. He made numerous appearances on popular talk shows such as "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson," "The Mike Douglas Show," and "The Merv Griffin Show." His signature trick involved finding his own hidden paycheck, a feat he claimed to accomplish with remarkable consistency. Despite his claims of using psychological methods, some of his public predictions and claims have faced scrutiny and dispute from critics. He remained active into his later years, engaging with audiences through YouTube and continuing to make predictions on news programs.

His final video celebrated Leap Day with an animated clip. He passed away on December 10, 2024, at the age of 89, from complications of dementia.
