A. Marques

Marques Houston, born August 4, 1981, is an American R&B singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor. He began his career in music in 1990 as a founding member of the R&B group Immature, later known as IMx. The group achieved popularity in the mid-1990s, releasing several albums and participating in film soundtracks. Houston also found early success as an actor, notably portraying Roger Evans in the popular teen sitcom *Sister, Sister* from 1994 to 1999.

Transitioning to a solo career in 2003, Houston released his debut album *MH*, followed by *Naked* in 2005 and *Veteran* in 2007, the latter reaching number one on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. He continued releasing music with albums such as *Mr. Houston* (2009), *Mattress Music* (2010), and *Famous* (2013), before releasing *Me* in 2022. Beyond his music and acting, Houston has also ventured into film production, co-founding the production company Footage Films and serving as an executive producer and writer for various made-for-TV features and films.

In his personal life, Houston became one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 2016. He married Miya Dickey in 2020, and they have two children. Houston has also been open about his past relationship with singer Mila J. His career spans music, television, film, and production, establishing him as a multifaceted artist.
