Her academic background complements her extensive involvement in Wicca, where she is recognized as a High Priestess and teacher.

Crowley's spiritual journey began with initiation into the Alexandrian tradition at eighteen, followed by joining a Gardnerian coven. She is noted for her efforts in fostering understanding and integration between these two major Wiccan traditions through cross-initiation. Beyond her direct involvement, she has held significant roles, including secretary of the Pagan Federation and coordinator for Pagan Chaplaincy Services in UK prisons. Her first book, "Wicca: The Old Religion in the New Age," published in 1989, became a widely recognized text on the subject.

Crowley holds the title of High Priestess and is an active teacher within the Wiccan religion. Her early spiritual path involved initiation into the Alexandrian tradition, founded by Alex Sanders, at the age of eighteen.
