The Right Stuff was a conservative dating app that ceased operations shortly after its launch.
The Right Stuff was a dating application designed for American Republicans and conservatives, co-founded by John McEntee, Daniel Huff, and Isaac Stalzer. It received initial funding from Peter Thiel. The app aimed to provide an alternative to mainstream media and online platforms perceived as left-leaning. Features were incorporated to filter out unwanted users, such as an invite-only system and manual profile approvals, and specific content restrictions were in place to enforce its political alignment.
Launched on September 30, 2022, the app saw a modest number of downloads in its initial days. However, it faced significant criticism regarding its user experience, including slow approval processes and a perceived lack of female users. Reports of users being contacted by the FBI after answering a specific prompt were denied by the app's representatives, who attributed them to "people trolling." The application was ultimately discontinued, with users notified in November 2025 that support was ending and developers were moving to new projects. It is no longer accessible on app stores.
