Joseph H Peterson

Jordan Bernt Peterson, born in Alberta, Canada, is a psychologist, author, and media commentator who rose to prominence in the late 2010s for his commentary on cultural and political matters. He holds degrees in political science and psychology from the University of Alberta and a PhD in clinical psychology from McGill University. After teaching at Harvard University, he returned to Canada to become a professor at the University of Toronto.

Peterson's initial book, "Maps of Meaning: The Architecture of Belief" (1999), explored how individuals and groups form belief systems, drawing on psychology, mythology, religion, literature, philosophy, and neuroscience. He gained significant public attention for his critiques of Bill C-16 and "political correctness." His subsequent book, "12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos" (2018), became a bestseller. Peterson has also faced health challenges and legal scrutiny regarding his public statements. He later published "Beyond Order: 12 More Rules for Life" (2021) and became chancellor of Ralston College.
