Milind Gunaji, born in Bombay in 1961, is a multifaceted Indian personality with a career spanning acting, modeling, television hosting, and writing. He made his acting debut in 1993 and has since appeared in over 250 films, gaining recognition for roles in both Marathi and Hindi cinema. Gunaji also hosted the travel show 'Bhatkanti' on Zee Marathi and has been involved in promoting tourism in Maharashtra, serving as a brand ambassador for forests, wildlife, and the hill station of Mahabaleshwar.

Beyond his screen presence, Gunaji is an accomplished photographer, having held several solo exhibitions. He has also contributed to travel literature, writing a weekly column for the Marathi daily Loksatta and authoring numerous books that often focus on travel and Maharashtra's attractions. His writing career began with 'Majhi Mulukhgiri' in 1998, a collection of his published columns. Gunaji has also acknowledged modeling as a pursuit that offers both personal satisfaction and financial benefits.

Milind Gunaji's career began with his film debut in 'Papeeha' in 1993. He gained significant attention for his role as Inspector Indrajeet Saxena in the 1996 film 'Fareb,' which earned him a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Performance in a Negative Role. Gunaji has since acted in a substantial number of films, exceeding 250, and has also made appearances in South Indian cinema, including the Tamil film 'Aalavandhan' and the Telugu film 'Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum.' On television, he has been featured in various series such as 'Byomkesh Bakshi,' 'CID,' 'Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan,' and 'Everest.' He also hosted the popular Marathi travel show 'Bhatkanti' and the program 'Discover Maharashtra' on Zee Marathi.

Gunaji has established himself as a prolific author, penning 12 books. His literary work often centers on travel and exploration, particularly within Maharashtra. His first book, 'Majhi Mulukhgiri' (1998), was a compilation of his travel columns published in the Marathi daily Loksatta, where he continues to write a weekly column. His other notable works include 'Bhatkanti,' 'Offbeat Tracks in Maharashtra,' 'Mystical Magical Maharashtra,' and 'Gad Killyanchi Bhatkanti.' Gunaji's passion for travel is further reflected in his role as a brand ambassador for Intiamatkat Tours and his service as the Government of Maharashtra's brand ambassador for forests and wildlife, and more recently for Hill Station Mahabaleshwar.

Beyond his work in film and writing, Milind Gunaji is also an accomplished photographer. He has held multiple solo photography exhibitions across various venues in Maharashtra, including Balgandharva in Pune, Kalidas Hall in Nashik, and Prabodhankar Thackeray Hall in Vile Parle. Gunaji has also served as the brand ambassador for the Novel Institute Group's NIBR College of Hotel Management in 2009. He has openly stated that modeling is an activity he engages in to satisfy his ego and secure good financial returns, demonstrating a pragmatic approach to his diverse career.
