Gigi Graham Tchividjian is a Christian author and speaker, eldest daughter of Billy Graham, with over 10 published books.

Virginia Leftwich "Gigi" Graham Tchividjian, born in 1945, is the eldest daughter of evangelist Billy Graham and author Ruth Bell Graham. She is an American Christian author who has authored more than 10 books, some of which were co-written with her mother. In addition to her writing, she has developed a "speaking ministry." Her early life included attending boarding school and college, and at 17, she became engaged to Stephan Tchividjian, whom she married in Switzerland. After returning to the United States and raising her seven children with Stephan, Gigi began writing, initially to process her own experiences with depression. This led to a career sharing personal stories and insights on themes of struggle and faith. She has been married twice more after her divorce from Stephan Tchividjian, and later remarried Jim Wilson, whom she had known in college. She has also been known as Virginia Leftwich "Gigi" Graham Foreman.

Early Life and Education

Born Virginia Leftwich Graham in Montreat, North Carolina, in 1945, she is the eldest of five children of Billy and Ruth Bell Graham. At age 13, she began attending Hampden DuBose Academy in Florida. Following this, she enrolled at Wheaton College in Illinois shortly after her seventeenth birthday. During this time, Stephan Tchividjian, who had previously supported her father's ministry, proposed marriage. After seeking guidance, Gigi accepted, and they were married in Switzerland in May 1963. She also reportedly attended Mary Baldwin College. Gigi and Stephan later returned to the United States.

Writing and Speaking Ministry

Following her return to the United States and during the process of raising her children with Stephan Tchividjian, Gigi began writing down her thoughts, initially as a way to cope with depression. These writings, often done on "scraps of paper between household tasks," evolved into a significant body of work. She has since completed over 10 books, some co-authored with her mother, Ruth Bell Graham. Her writing and speaking ministry focuses on sharing personal experiences and lessons learned from various life circumstances, exploring themes of personal struggle and faith.

Personal Life and Later Years

Gigi Graham Tchividjian had seven children with her first husband, Stephan Tchividjian, before their divorce. She later experienced a second marriage and divorce. In 2012, she remarried Jim Wilson, whom she had dated in her youth. Her personal life has also included legal matters; in 2005, under the name Virginia Graham Foreman, she was arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic abuse related to an incident with her then-husband, Chad Foreman. The subsequent legal proceedings resulted in probation and court-ordered counseling.
