Early Life and Education
Born and raised in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales, Katy Wix's parents were involved in the arts, both having attended drama school before pursuing careers in arts administration and stage management. Her brother is a musician. Wix pursued higher education at the University of Warwick before attending the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. It was during her time at the Royal Welsh College that she entered the Funny Women competition, where she met her future comedy partner, Anna Crilly.

Wix's television career includes recurring roles in "Not Going Out" as Daisy and a significant part in "Torchwood: Children of Earth" as Rhiannon Davies. She has also appeared in "Agatha Raisin," "Sherlock," and "Decline and Fall." Her role as Mary in the BBC sitcom "Ghosts" brought her further acclaim. On radio, she co-wrote and starred in the BBC Radio 4 sitcom "Bird Island" and "Party," and featured in "Ankle Tag" and "The Accidental AM." She also developed the sketch show "Anna & Katy" for Channel 4.
