Cherie Blair (née Booth; born 23 September 1954), also styled Cherie, Lady Blair, is an English barrister, judge, and writer. Blair has appeared in a number of leading cases, including arguing Lisa Grant v South West Trains Ltd before the European Court of Justice. In June 1999, she was appointed a recorder or part-time judge. Blair was the third Chancellor of Liverpool John Moores University from 1999 to 2006. She is also Governor of the London School of Economics and the Open University.
