Andrew Hubbard

Barbara Marx Hubbard (1929-2019) was an American author, public speaker, and futurist recognized for her theories on the "birthing" of humanity and the integration of emergent capacities to address global challenges. Born Barbara Marx, she pursued a strong academic path, earning a degree in Political Science from Bryn Mawr College. She co-founded the Foundation for Conscious Evolution and authored several books exploring social and planetary evolution, including "Conscious Evolution: Awakening the Power of Our Social Potential." Hubbard was also instrumental in promoting futurist ideas, speaking at conferences and establishing organizations dedicated to societal progress. She co-chaired Soviet-American Citizen Summits, introducing the "SYNCON" concept for synergistic convergence, and co-founded the World Future Society and the Association for Global New Thought. Her work aimed to foster a better society by highlighting the potential of human consciousness and collective action.
